Ooh, its been a year since I kept away from blog. CWG, Asian games, India beating the Kiwis , Radia basking in limelight with the conglomerates, Tappu (of Uttaran fame) getting on the fam way after a long time away from her husband, an idiot nearly getting to be a Crorepati and losing it all and the big games being played in Indian politics to the Kasab trial going nowhere, now that Kasab saying he was apprehended by Mamus at Juhu beach while planning his foray into B’wood. Hahahah, to think of it all, I see all funny lines. But now, I feel the urge to tap some words push a few lines and start forming some paragraphs to just let you know how things are going at my end.
First of all, I guess the prophecy is coming true regarding 2012, hmm if not for the whole world at least Vizag may drown if the non seasonal rains continue at this rate. Since the last time Laila swayed and swirled over the eastern coast we have been lashed with rains every month and lotsa crop damage occurred. Anyways, the GVMC must be happy to have ample reason for not being able to repair the most used worst roads in Vizag. From morality to corporate ethos to responsibility towards ones words and deeds everything seems to have become something that’s considered drab. If a tv serial can show a woman who has been away from her family and husband with some benevolent others claiming to be pregnant, while she is aware that she is not in any way, to Kasab going in court and denying all acts of violence and pleading innocent, to Kalmadi (with a straight face, albeit) asking everyone to check the facts into the CWG proceedings and insisting all was correct, to Radia spilling the beans on her free idea to idea or reliance connection everyone seems to be basking in limelight just for the wrong reasons…. Do we remember the gold winners in CWG now? Nah, and what about the ones in Asian games? Nah, but we do know the face that we thought was brave to get us our dose of news from the rough terrains of Kashmir to the chaffing waves of Arabian sea or the big news of how our favourite party’s balance is unbalanced, taking on big wigs, asking them poking and pricking them for answers that so many Indians wanted. But in one little chat the image of these people also shatters. Barkha Dutt seemed to be tensile but not partial, Vir Sanghvi seemed tactful but not sneaky. But with one blow they too showed they are the changing face of India, they too have ambition of being the head turners and conglomerate breakers. If they have been using their clout, their proximity they have been targeting someone and making them remote to a little opulence. They may be two of the known names privy to a lot of information that could have made news to mar some firms. But they chose to sit still on it making the wrong decision seem unjustifiable.
Inaction or concealment is as wrong as the act of doing wrong itself.
These people who had the might of their words to wake us up to do things right or to speak for things to be done right have themselves gone the wrong way showing that man by nature is mean and tricky. Be it wealth stature or knowledge anything they have mastered they try to get some more and be influential. Why on Earth can’t we think and work for what is correct and not try to be influenced by someone’s power, by fear of someone or in favor of just one. Has the value of needy and rightful people lessened or has that ONE strong person’s value augmented?
