This time its 'Traipsing Time!'

Its been a month since I drafted the trip to Ladakh & Leh, to be taken with friends, during the leave in September. The original plan is to reach Delhi then move to Srinagar then to Gulmarg and from there onto Ladakh and Leh. As of now two guys have given their nod and the other two have to reply affirmatively. The ball is on a roll, I have put a request for leave which will get through by this weekend. Now in the midst of this a friend sends me a message urging us to drop our plan for this particular trip due to the volatile situation over there. The recent bombings and day to day blasts in Jammu and Kashmir troubled this particular friend. Well, the message said so, but as the undertones go.......this guy is not able to make it to this particular trip due to some reasons, so, is he trying to push the plan to a later date? Coz if we make the trip now it wont be on our list the nxt time.....and he may have to miss it. What with every single guy's wicket falling, he may be worried that the happy single trips may come to an abrupt end too soon. Well, I have one thing clear in my mind 'in order to attain something u have to lose something'.U lose ur bachelorhood to get into the group of married men, get a little of responsibility for the little joys u wish to share with ur life partner. Anyways I thought it may be simple concern for us that forced him to send that message, which friend in the world would not try to dissuade his pal from jumping off the cliff. Yeah he ought to check if the pal is carrying a chute with him.

That apart......this guy's apprehensions cant be put to sleep right away so I took the better way out. I thought I would let him know why actually we still wanted to go ahead with the trip. The simple reason was a small story that I retell.....

In Isfahan(IRAN) lived a man. Mohammed was a simple servant loyal to his master and so the master was very kind to him. One fine day Mohammed went to the local market. Over there as he was going through his chores he stumbled upon a man wearing a cloak and covered from top to bottom in the desert heat. Mohammed had nearly knocked the person and as he gave his hand to lift him up he could see the strangers eyes burning with a strange fire, the face was tad too older and his grip too strong to be of an old man's. The servant looked at him in horror, he somehow recognised the old man and ran for his life......... He did not wait until he reached his master's door. Once at his master's feet he narrated the whole incident and said that it was surely the messenger of Death and he was after him. The master did not believe him but nevertheless gave him his best and fastest horse, and said,“U better leave for Tehran and meet my Elder brother. He'll keep u until death searches for u and has left Isfahan.”

Mohammed took the horse and fled for his life. The Master was baffled and so went to the market looking for the man in cloak. After a long search he went over to the man and looking at him said, “hey old man, why did u scare my servant?” he was so afraid after seeing you he left Isfahan.” The man in the cloak replied, “Oh I was more surprised to see him here this morning. I was to take him along from Tehran but as I had to take another soul too I came here first.”

Fate is not what people perceive as something they know thats going to happen, but it is something no one knows until it does happen. Speculations can be made galore......but what has to happen will happen, be it here there or somewhere. Some of u may think I'm trying to stretch my luck too much or am simple reckless and putting other people too in trouble. But let me be clear I dont take responsibility for other's actions. Yeah i do agree I was the one to formulate the plan but everyone pitched in with a yes even after knowing the conditions and gave the complete charge of making the itinerary to me. Theres a thin line between adventure and recklessness. I guess I'm never gonna cross it, but i cant stop walking on it ;)

Dont try to dissuade me people, jus bid me Fair winds !!! Speed!!! let it be slow wish to enjoy the nature.
